Nokia 5800 shits the bed on launch

My E70 was buggy, poorly made, and Nokia wholly failed to provide technical support in the form of updated firmware (they abandoned the phone only 16 months after launch!) or physical repairs. I vowed to never buy another one after that mess, and there is a serious glob of schadenfreude I’m gleaning from this whole issue.

Nokia: ugly hardware, buggy software, huge market share, limited lifespan. If it weren’t for all the cheap, sturdy cockroach phones they unload by the millions to prepaid and less spendy markets, they’d be a goner.
